Fortuna Boat Hotel lies at anchor on the side of Pest of the capital, next to the Margaret Bridge and opposite the beautiful Margaret Island. It's within 15 minutes walking distance from the boat hotel. In the island there are swimming-pool, relaxing area, waterpark and several sport facility.
The Parliament, Europes largest governmental building is within 3 minutes walking and 2 stops with tram. The city centre and the Vaci Street, Budapests popular pedestrian shopping area are within 3 minutes walking distance and 5 stops with tram.
The Nyugati Railwaystation ("Nyugati Palyaudvar") and the West-End City Center (one of the most largest shopping center in Budapest) are about 15 minutes on foot.
Public transportation is within easy reach (trolleybuses, trams, undergrounds). The nearest underground station is about 15 minutes and the nearest trolley-bus station is about 5 minutes walking distance away. It takes about 40 minutes to get from the International Airport to the hotel.
Hotel
The Fortuna boat hotel was opened in 2000. The two-storey air-conditioned boat hotel is tastefully and nicely furnished. Each room was named after a pirate or a famous explorer. The hotel features on board the 'Lord Nelson Restaurant', the 'Francis Drake Pub', the 'Siren Cafe' and on hot days a terrace-bar with summer cocktails and a sun-deck with comfortable day-beds and an unveiling panorama. The hotel provides free car parking facilities for guests. Safe at the reception desk. Laundry, room service is available. Pets welcome.
